Great way to upgrade you carb'd 460!! I bought a complete kit several years ago to upgrade the 1978 460 that I was putting in my 1965 truck. I could have gone with an aftermarket bolt-on injection unit but I love having factory stuff so I can repair the truck at local auto parts stores. I had the truck running but wanted to have the old school breather instead of the tall aluminum intake since it was going in the 65. I ordered and installed this low profile unit and love it!!!

This truck has been in my family since it was new and it has sentimental value or I would have unloaded it years ago. I’ve been at my wits end with it for sometime now. It’s been a gas guzzling gutless wonder since day one. When you’ve got 460 cubic inches under the hood and every time you think about passing you have to decide if you’ll have enough fuel left to get to the next gas station and enough horsepower to not die passing that Prius that’s in front of you there’s a problem and these guys can cure it for you!
I’ve spent more time searching forums trying to figure out my bad idle, mpg, hesitation and black exhaust smoke then I’ve spent talking to my wife in recent history (maybe the trucks not that bad after all). My go to tool has been a can of carb cleaner so that I could try to find the next vacuum leak. I’ve tried a cat back, cutting off the air horns, 6.0 tune up anything to try to improve the mpg or the hp with basically little to no improvement. To be frank I’ve spent more money in sensors in the last two years then I spent buying the twisted smog box and a throttle body. If your on this path or just starting down it just stop doing what you doing, your wasting your money and time just call these guys.
I finished putting my parts on and this thing moves like I never thought it could or would. Im not sure what the mpg is going to be in the end mostly because I can’t keep my foot out it but I’m using less going fast then I was going slow.
If your dream is to put on Mr Banks 2k kit as mine was don’t bother my friend had to begrudgingly admit that the 460 EFI Guys bolt ons had superior throttle response and acceleration compared to the Banks kit he has on his for less than 1/2 the price.
I got quick responses from Russel with a few questions I had and I have to say after 25 years in the automotive industry that it’s rare for the average Joe to get personal service from someone that’s the best at their specialty in this industry but that’s what you get here. I guarantee you that for 2k you won’t be hearing from Mr. Banks and won’t be anywhere near as happy with the finished product. If you want a smile like the guy on the you tube video that put these guys kit on his truck call Russel if you don’t call them carb cleaners .97 cents a can at Walmart I’d recommend a case. Well I guess I have to go talk to the wife but at least she’ll think I’m smiling at her. Thanks guys!!!!!

Used a 96' 460 in my 67' F250 using this conversion, and couldn't be happier. Saved me a lot of frustration trying to convert the harness myself, and made for a clean install. Had it running within a day of getting the harness.

Hook up power/ground/ignition signal to the ecu, plug in the connectors and it's ready to run. Do note the starter/alternator circuits will not be included in that, but they are dead simple to wire up.

I never imagined this old flatbed would pull my loaded skid steer trailer through the Rockies, down to sea level and back with as much power as it has now.
Recently added a E4OD, it made a great addition and gets me better mpg's than I thought it would.

We took it out for a test drive. This engine has the 1988 EFI 460 heads and it has no problem moving with traffic. My neighbor commented "My Honda CR-V couldn't keep up with you." Not bad for road wale RV.

This throttle body is great! So fast and responsive. I am amazed by how much power is in the old truck. I am also completely satisfied with the customer service. I was still figuring out exactly what I wanted when I called and Russel took the time to answer a lot of questions for me. I am completely happy with everything I have bought from them. I'll be calling them again when it is time to upgrade my other truck!

The 460 engine I'm using to upgrade my 72 came out of a 90 model F-250. It ran but had numerous wiring issues with the fuel injection and other systems. Even though I was swapping the engine to an older truck i wanted to keep the modern convenience of fuel injection during the engine upgrade. I sent my damaged harness and the computer to Russel to build a stand alone EFI harness. The stand alone system simplifies the wiring harness tremendously and made a very daunting task into a much more simple task. All of the harness connectors are clearly labeled and bundled nicely. All you have to do is plug the connectors into the appropriate spot follow some basic instructions on how to connect a few more wires and that's it! This harness saved me a bunch of time and ultimately $$$. Cant wait to finish my build and get her on the street!

Swap in a 460 that is already fuel injected

You can swap in a complete factory EFI 460 engine from a 1988-1997. If you already have a 460 that is still good you can take the heads and intake from the 88-97 and put them on any 460 engine. A 460 will even bolt up to the same bellhousing that a 351M or 400 will.  Is it time to rebuild your 460 or Modified engine, or are you simply ready to ditch your carburetor and ignition system? Even if you’re just looking to add better fuel economy and power to your vehicle, an engine swap can be done in a day or two.

From there just send us the harness and ECU from the fuel injected truck, and we will convert it to our full stand-alone system.  If you are missing the harness or ECU we keep them in stock also.

If you want to make even more power install the new low-profile throttle body kit and also our performance upgrade Intake. Read more about them below.

Stand-alone conversion service

$675 (includes S+H)

Interested in Full Tuning Capabilities and/or Data Logging

With help from our friends at twEECer.com our stand-alone systems have gotten even better. With the additional purchase of a twEECer system they are now fully tunable. Changes are quick and easy with any aspect of ecu operation including: timing characteristics or advance, air/fuel curves, rev limits, even cold start operation. Write and store multiple tunes that can be switched even while running. This allows you to have your own performance tune, daily driver tune, mpg tune, valet mode, or even a kill switch shut down setting.

Purchase an ECU from our stock for your stand-alone

We hand select ECUs and keep them in stock ready to go. Each one is installed and tested to confirm the best air/fuel parameters and timing curves. Which ensure these ECUs will support every engine from mild to wild flawlessly.

Purchase a cut and stripped harness from our stock for the stand alone service.

We keep a supply of wiring harnesses in stock. If you don’t get one when you found your EFI engine, we can use one of ours.

**These have already been cut for the stand-alone conversion service, and are not intended for a replacement harness for your 80’s or 90’s truck.**

Flowkooler - High Flow Water Pumps

Simply put, a stock volume water pump falls sadly short on a stock 460 powered truck, they simply don’t move enough volume. Even stock engines will fluctuate in temperature drastically from this problem. I have never seen anyone’s water pump keep up with these units. If you do any towing or have increased the power of your engine you will need help to move that massive amount of coolant faster. Your Ford engine and the ECU needs to stay within a specific temperature range to operate correctly. Too cold and you waste fuel, get too hot and the ECU leans the air fuel curve and overheats the engine even further. We searched high and low for a pump that actually worked with the stock radiator tubes, pump shaft, and fan bolt pattern. We were thrilled to find Flowkooler water pumps. But before we offered or recommended any part to anyone we thoroughly tested these first. We installed a few on our built up engines we were installing. What we found was this pump always held the temperature much much closer to the thermostat rating than you could ever expect out of a stock water pump.

Well let me start by saying my truck was completely stock 460 absolutely nothing done to it. Now I have headers redone heads just cause my old exhaust manifold studs snapped off in the head but yes headers and I had my intake done by russle and this low profile throttle body. Just like it states everything is plug and play would recommend if your not a mechanic to take pictures of where all the sensors and vacuum lines go but just so it's easier when going back together. Now that I have that put of the way the power and throttle response everything is ridiculous I still cant believe how just the three things I did literally woke this truck up I am absolutely in love with the power everything. My new 73 460 I just bought will be getting these same parts done by russle and I cant wait. The advice and help you get as well from russle is amazing he will literally help you threw the entire install and do what he can to make sure your truck is running just as good as mine is I highly recommend all of his products they are amazing.

Low Profile Throttle Bodies for the 7.5 liter 460

** DOES NOT WORK WITH MAF (Mass Air Flow trucks) **

SPEED DENSITY HAVE 2 INTAKE TUBES CONNECTED TO THE AIR FILTER BOX

By swapping to this throttle body, you will get better throttle response, increased horsepower, increased torque, and best of all it will improve your mpg’s. Your engine will come to life and perform like the beast it truly is. This throttle body improved our 0-60 times by 2 full seconds. We did 12 runs with the original throttle body and this one just to confirm it.  Our 1995 crew cab long bed with a 460 / C6 auto picked up 2-3 mpg’s.

Included with this kit:

  • Holley low profile throttle body, throttle cable and all needed sensors
  • Throttle cable housing, inner-cable, and needed fittings for throttle and cruise control
  • Idle air bypass, pigtail and tube
  • Throttle position sensor and pigtail
  • 5/8″ tubing and elbow for driver side breather port
  • 14″ Air Filter Base (we drill and install a grommet for the IAC)
  • 1″ air filter spacer (makes the install easier with more room over the fuel rails)
  • MAP sensor and fuel pressure regulator vacuum tubing
  • 3/8″ NPT plug for the intake runner #5 (when needed)
  • ** Purchase a washable complete air Filter kit separately **

Spare TPS and IAC

Would you like to have a backup Throttle Position Sensor and Idle Air Control Valve. In this day and age of horrendous delays this way you can carry a set of our tried and true backups.

I am running this intake manifold on my 1995 CCLB F350 7.5l. I noticed the difference immediately. I feels that this beast can breathe so much better! I would recommend this for anyone wanting to gain some extra HP out of their old 460.

This intake is amazing. I inspected the intake manifold inch by inch when it arrived and I loved it. There is definitely noticeable more power now that there is better airflow. Russel does an amazing job, not only with the parts but also with his customer service. He went out of his way to make sure I got my core charged returned to me. I bought several products from these guys and I am completely satisfied with all of them.

Thanks Russell for all the awesome products, and all the continued technical support with your products. Even though it is a work in progress, it is well under way to being restored.

Russle did a amazing job with turn around of the intake to how it looks and performs it's seriously a huge upgrade for these old 460. I already purchased another 460 so I will be getting another one done for my other project. I have the low profile throttle body as well and I must say the throttle response and power I have now is a drastic change from how my truck was stock. I was border line gonna get rid of the truck cause of the lack of power now it's not even a option.

Performance Modified Intake

We are proud to offer the only performance upgrade intake for 1988-1997 460’s. Whether you have built up your 460 or wanting more out of your stock motor letting it breath is always the answer to more horsepower and torque. Having seen the drastic performance increase with ported and balanced single plane manifolds paired with multi-port efi we had to give it a shot. The result was an instant and undeniably increase in powerStarting with Ford’s factory intake we start by cutting the stair-stepped bottom out. From there we remove all the internal passages. They are cut back into a balanced much short length. The air no longer has to get drawn through long runners that make sharp 90 degree turns. Instead each cylinder can now easily draw the air it needs to make the power a 460 is capable of. The easiest way to describe the difference is, instead of downshifting just lay into the throttle and watch the speedo climb. As always, we did 12 time trial pulls before and after the intakeThe difference was 1.75 seconds difference in 0-60 in the pictured blue and white 9000 lb. Monster. Everyone who has gone for a ride has said they all felt a huge difference. As the driver it feels like I just unhooked the flatbed trailer.

Depending on how quickly you need your new intake, there are two purchasing options:

Option 1: We don’t charge a core charge. You send us your intake for this service, and we verify that it’s usable. If it is, we send your new intake out the same day. Price includes S+H on delivery of your new intake.

Option 2: If you need your new intake faster, pre-pay the refundable core charge of $230. We will immediately ship your performance modified intake, simply send us your old one. Once we receive your intake in usable condition we refund the core charge fee.

OPTION 1: WITHOUT CORE CHARGE

$470 (includes S+H)

OPTION 2: WITH CORE CHARGE

$700 (includes S+H)

These motor mounts are the greatest thing i did to my truck (1996 F250 460) Before i installed these the motor rocked around the engine bay like a squirrel in a cage with too much red bull. The instant i installed these i notice a crazy big difference. these bolted right up to the stock install location with no issue and still managed to keep vibration down. All-in-all VERY BADASS motor mounts.
