Just installed the Twisted smog box with all the smog elimination hardware on my 1992 F-250 460. I’m very satisfied with the power increase and difference in throttle response, more easily diagnosing the emissions garbage under the hood and allowing the engine to be more open was pretty liberating too.

The twisted smog isolator made my 460 run the way it should have from the start! I have a 93 F Super Duty which has a dana 80 rear and a 7' x 9' flatbed (in other words it's a heavy truck) and now she can move out right quick and keep building power until I say when. I want to thank Russel for the work that he has put into developing this product for people like me who would have suffered through mediocre performance from our rig otherwise. I currently have this kit on my CCLB 1995 F350 with the 7.5l engine. I could instantly feel the power increase. I appreciate that the 460efiguys took the time to properly eliminate the smog garbage on these trucks. One of the best aspects of this kit is that I could eliminate the rats nest of emissions hoses and garbage that made it difficult to work on this truck. Now there is plenty of room. I feel confident that this is the way that Ford SHOULD have built the truck.

460 EFI Guys came into the picture after the breaking point... when I gave up all hope on this garbage 1991 EGR/SMOG crap and ripped it all out. I wanted to retain EFI - but was about to put a carburetor on it I was so angry.
The truck idled at 2k rpm and NOTHING would slow it down. I felt I had ruined my truck and was carb shopping when i found the website.
Enter 460 EFI Guys... I installed my Twisted Smog kit and the truck IMMEDIATELY ran ALOT better... but the idle was still ridiculous...

Enter Russell: This guy took time out of his day to call me and troubleshoot my truck over the phone!!! We pinned down that the ECM was toast.
With a new ECM, the Twister smog kit, and all the other garbage gone, this little 302 is a tire burner! And now it only has 6 sensors total!!! SO EASY TO WORK ON>>> HUUUGE improvement in this truck!!!

Another brick nose saved from the junk yard. I drive it every day now.

Before my twisted smog I was averaging 7 mpg on the highway in my 93 f350 crew cab long bed. After the twisted smog I've been averaging 12 mpg at 80-85 mph on the highway. Couldn't be happier with Russel and his customer service.

Twisted smog delete box is worth every penny. No more lack of power, no more studdering, & went from 6.7 to 9.6 mpg on the 1st tank . As for the belt on a 95 f250 with ac after a few slung belts it wound up being 95.5 inch belt with 2 3/8 flat washers on all 3 alt bolts between the alt & bracket! But you can see the geometry for the idler to belt is wrong so i ordered a delete bracket & proper pully from ebay which should fix that problem & it was less than 60.00 shipped . Unlike the 99.00 bracket that you still have to buy the ac delete pully for to use the stock belt. & Russ was a big help ! Highly recommend.

Hooking up the Twisted Smog box could not have been easier. The directions are clear and straightforward. I hooked mine up and it was good from the start. No codes at all. Even if I had trouble, Russel does a great job of taking care of customers and has been a wealth of knowledge answering many questions for me. This is one of several items I bought to upgrade my 1995 F350 and I could not be happier.

I installed the Twisted Smog on my 1991 F-150 and could not be happier! The instructions were easy to understand and the install was very straight forward. I have noticed improved performance and fuel economy. I am very impressed. The only downside is that I am not seeing the fuel economy increase anymore because the improved performance has turned my foot into lead. I would highly recommend this product to anyone.

** DOES NOT WORK WITH MASS AIR FLOW (MAF), FOR EEC-IV ECUs ONLY! **

These diagnostic isolators are designed to temporarily separate the SMOG, EGR, and corresponding vacuum sensors from the ECU so you can easily isolate a sensor issue.

If your EGR system is suffering from a sensor or component failure, your truck will run in the EEC-IV “limp mode” – resulting in horrible gas mileage or your truck running dangerously lean. This isolation tool will allow it to run without the SMOG and EGR temporarily, without going into the “limp mode”, so you can then safely isolate and identify where the problem is coming from. This will allow your ECU to run the engine solely off of the needed fuel injection sensors and components. This is for temporary use, and cannot be “installed” permanently in your vehicle.

Using the same approach as we take in our vintage stand-alone harnesses we are now able to do a full EGR, vacuum sensor and smog system isolation for 1988-1997 Ford trucks and Broncos. This unit isolates and partitions off the EGR sensors and components in a way that allows your engine to only run on the needed fuel-injection components. This allows the ECU and engine to operate temporarily without the EGR and SMOG components. Additionally, our tool kit includes the belt to bypass the SMOG pump allowing you to diagnose if the problem is coming from the SMOG pump itself.

You can then easily reconnect your vehicle for SMOG compliance.

Great way to upgrade you carb'd 460!! I bought a complete kit several years ago to upgrade the 1978 460 that I was putting in my 1965 truck. I could have gone with an aftermarket bolt-on injection unit but I love having factory stuff so I can repair the truck at local auto parts stores. I had the truck running but wanted to have the old school breather instead of the tall aluminum intake since it was going in the 65. I ordered and installed this low profile unit and love it!!!

This throttle body is great! So fast and responsive. I am amazed by how much power is in the old truck. I am also completely satisfied with the customer service. I was still figuring out exactly what I wanted when I called and Russel took the time to answer a lot of questions for me. I am completely happy with everything I have bought from them. Well let me start by saying my truck was completely stock 460 absolutely nothing done to it. Now I have headers redone heads just cause my old exhaust manifold studs snapped off in the head but yes headers and I had my intake done by russle and this low profile throttle body. Just like it states everything is plug and play would recommend if your not a mechanic to take pictures of where all the sensors and vacuum lines go but just so it's easier when going back together. Now that I have that put of the way the power and throttle response everything is ridiculous I still cant believe how just the three things I did literally woke this truck up I am absolutely in love with the power everything. My new 73 460 I just bought will be getting these same parts done by russle and I cant wait. The advice and help you get as well from russle is amazing he will literally help you threw the entire install and do what he can to make sure your truck is running just as good as mine is I highly recommend all of his products they are amazing.

14" Round Air Filter Base for Low-Profile Throttle Bodies

This is only for the Air Filter Base, not a complete Air Filter. We find these to be the perfect fit for the low-profile throttle bodies. These have a ¾ “ rise needed to clear your fuel rails. There is a metal port that connects to the driver side breather port. We also drill and install a grommet for the idle air bypass. Take the guess work and the possibility of drilling your air filter incorrectly away, we will gladly do this step. Top this off with any 14″ round air filter of your choice, and lid of your choice.

These are included with every throttle body purchase.

I am running this intake manifold on my 1995 CCLB F350 7.5l. I noticed the difference immediately. I feels that this beast can breathe so much better! I would recommend this for anyone wanting to gain some extra HP out of their old 460.

This intake is amazing. I inspected the intake manifold inch by inch when it arrived and I loved it. There is definitely noticeable more power now that there is better airflow. Russel does an amazing job, not only with the parts but also with his customer service. He went out of his way to make sure I got my core charged returned to me. Amazing results, tons of noticeable power. The intake manifold really let the motor get air and breath. The smog delete blockboff kit, produced tons of power not having to push that horse power robbing smog pump and exaust gas air.
Thanks Russell for all the awesome products, and all the continued technical support with your products. Even though it is a work in progress, it is well under way to being restored.

Russle did a amazing job with turn around of the intake to how it looks and performs it's seriously a huge upgrade for these old 460. I already purchased another 460 so I will be getting another one done for my other project. I have the low profile throttle body as well and I must say the throttle response and power I have now is a drastic change from how my truck was stock. I was border line gonna get rid of the truck cause of the lack of power now it's not even a option.

Performance Modified Intake

We are proud to offer the only performance upgrade intake for 1988-1997 460’s. Whether you have built up your 460 or wanting more out of your stock motor letting it breath is always the answer to more horsepower and torque. Having seen the drastic performance increase with ported and balanced single plane manifolds paired with multi-port efi we had to give it a shot. The result was an instant and undeniably increase in powerStarting with Ford’s factory intake we start by cutting the stair-stepped bottom out. From there we remove all the internal passages. They are cut back into a balanced much short length. The air no longer has to get drawn through long runners that make sharp 90 degree turns. Instead each cylinder can now easily draw the air it needs to make the power a 460 is capable of. The easiest way to describe the difference is, instead of downshifting just lay into the throttle and watch the speedo climb. As always, we did 12 time trial pulls before and after the intakeThe difference was 1.75 seconds difference in 0-60 in the pictured blue and white 9000 lb. Monster. Everyone who has gone for a ride has said they all felt a huge difference. As the driver it feels like I just unhooked the flatbed trailer.

Bullet-Proof Motor Mount Kits

After having every motor mount we have purchased fail we decided to make our own. These are a fully caged polyurethane motor mount kits. They hold the engine absolutely stable but won’t vibrate you to death. They will handle high horsepower engines but are daily driver friendly. Ours are built at zero degrees with a stock nose up engine. Many other companies are not. Each of our mount kits are made of DOM tubing, polyurethane bushings, plate steel and grade-8 hardware. A pro-rated warranty is laughable. Simply put if these ever fail or wear out we replace them free of charge.
